Mr. Goff is licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois, the State of Iowa and the United States District Court (Federal Court). Mr. Goff has tried jury cases in both state and federal courts for over 20 years. He is a native of Rockford, Illinois. He graduated from Western Illinois University in 1978. In May of 1984, he graduated from Drake University College of Law.
Mr. Goff practices in more than a dozen counties throughout Northern Illinois as well as in the western division of the U.S. District Court for Northern Illinois. The majority of Mr. Goff’s practice involves the representation of insurance company insureds and self-insureds in the defense of complex personal injury litigation. Mr. Goff also represents individuals in personal injury actions. In addition, he handles cases involving products liability, dram shop, premises liability, wrongful death and insurance coverage issues. He also does appellate work.
He is a member of the Trial Bar of the Federal District Court of the Northern District of Illinois and holds membership in the American Bar Association, the Illinois State Bar Association and the Winnebago County Bar Association. He is also a member of the Illinois Association of Defense Trial Counsel. He also serves as an approved Arbitrator for the 17th Judicial Circuit.
Mr. Goff has been rated by his peers as an AV lawyer (the highest rating available to lawyers) and was named a Leading Lawyer in Illinois. He has been a speaker at continuing legal education seminars presented by both the Illinois State Bar Association and the Winnebago County Bar Association.
